Hiyah Goofy Goobers! Another Terrific Tuesday! Last night we bumped our scores up to $57.62/lap. This afternoon, not only did we choose fitness by practicing our new yoga moves, but we also congratulated Ms. Nagel's 3rd graders on a job well done last night for having the most pledges in the whole school last night. Consequently they got to duct tape Armand to the flag pole & we got to check out All-Star Armand taped to the flag pole outside at carpool. Combs' and I enjoyed bonding over this event for sure. Tonight's challenge is to have the most pledges in the whole school and the prize is a Popsicle Party with the Boosterthon crew! How cool, right?! GATES' GOOFY GOOBERS!

Howdy Ho Goofy Goobers! Another great day in 408. My little friends did a great job in helping their school this weekend! We'll be adding class tennis baseball and board game day to our busy end of school calendar (not to mention the lunch outside and the extra recess that was postponed slightly from the rain). Our class is up to $53.28/lap! 4th grade is in the lead! Tonight it is every class for themselves...will Gates' Goofy Goobers get the most pledges? Help our school? It is that time of year again! End of Grade Testing will be taking place at Weatherstone on Tuesday May 21 and Wednesday May 22 and we need your HELP! We are in great need of parents to volunteer to proctor in classrooms or small group settings on these days. You can sign up for only one or both days. Any help is wonderful and greatly needed! Volunteer Proctor Training will occur on Tuesday May 14 and Wednesday May 15 at 9:00am in the Media Center. You only need to come to one day of training. It should last about 30 minutes. To volunteer, go to our sign up page at: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050F44A9AF22AA8-endofgrade If you are unable to attend the training session, we would be happy to schedule training at your convenience. I hope you are all having a Thrilling Thursday! We in 408 certainly are with our field trip this morning and Boosterthon this afternoon! Today's Choice Challenge is to CHOOSE LEADERSHIP as modeled by our Highway Hero, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He represented leadership well by being bold, setting a good example for others and using his words to encourage others. Students are challenged today to say something encouraging to (1) a fellow student, (2) their teacher, and (3) their parents. Tonight they are also challenged to call friends/family who live in other states/countries, and the grade with the most represented will earn a special dance party with the Boosterthon Team! After the second night of pledging, here are our stats:
In addition, I have some more exciting news: Gates' Goofy Goobers won second place for highest percentage of students logged on to www.funrun.com last night AGAIN! Miss Combs' class may have beat us AGAIN, but they don't know who they're up against! THIRD TIME'S A CHARM! Remember, any amount donated or pledged per lap is celebrated and rewarded! YOU ROCK GOOFY GOOBERS! Boosterthon! :)

Hey Goofy Goobers! I am so excited to update you on our current standings with the Pledge-o-Meter: $6.45/lap! Thanks so much for your enthusiastic participation! We are just $3.55/lap short of meeting our first goal of $10/lap. We'd get to eat our lunch outside and enjoy some beautiful weather! I know we can make it there by tomorrow! Maybe your company has a price matching program? Take advantage of it! Maybe a sibling has $2 extra in their wallet and are willing to donate (Shout out to my younger sister Abby--Thanks!); EVERY LITTLE BIT COUNTS! Also, we've collected donations from one state (North Carolina) and one country (USA); what do you say we broaden our horizons? : ) I also have some exciting news: Gates' Goofy Goobers won second place for highest percentage of students logged on to www.funrun.com last night! Miss Combs' class may have beat us this time, but they don't know who they're up against! Remember, any amount donated or pledged per lap is celebrated and rewarded! This program is fun and we will make it a huge success at Weatherstone. Also please note:
We got spirit! Yes we do! We got spirit! How 'bout you?! |
